Dundas West Arts Building Open Studios
Presented by: Dundas West Arts Building Collective

The annual Dundas West Arts Building Open Studios show features resident artists of 2466 Dundas Street West. Artists open their private live/work studios to share their art with the public.

The Dundas West Arts Building history dates back over twenty-five years as a hub of creativity for community visual artists, musicians, actors and crafts people. The building, erected in 1922, is one of a few of its kind remaining in Toronto. Since 2001, these artists have been opening their personal studios to share their work with the public, giving them a chance to meet artists.

Returning this year are woodcarver Ruth Arnold, figurative painter Derek Birch, installation artist and set designer Samantha Brown, visual artist/musician Dale Camus, visual artist Ken Cromie, painter Uros Jelic, photographers Rachel Kubryn, Chris Nefs and Daniel James, One of a Kind glass artist and silversmith Nadia Tasci (Tascidesigns) and painter Ehrling White. Ceramic artist Ying-Yueh Chaung contributes with a small display of her work. Jennifer Wardle once again amazes us with her elevator instillation, paintings and music as a part of The All Girl Sax Duo. Enjoy the music of wacky performer Michael Holt.

We are proud to announce several new artists including, aircraft modeller Derry Firzgerald, musician Tanya Philipovich, photographer Jennifer Toole, mixed media artist Lee Sjostrom and visual artist Marnie Warren and singer/songwriter Ania Ziemirska.

Every year there are new artists that spontaneously open their doors to share their work. Please join us in celebrating the creativity, community, diversity, collaboration and education that the Dundas West Arts Building Open House promises.
