New Music at Gallery 345
Adventures is an exciting new collaboration between "utterly winning" (Opera Canada) mezzo soprano Marta Herman, the up-and-coming Ton Beau String Quartet and award-winning pianist Maika'i Nash.
The program features works by Canadian composers with strong ties to Toronto: Christos Hatzis' Sappho Songs for voice and chamber ensemble, and works by Kevin Lau and Alice Ho. Adventures: Toronto showcases the lyrical side of contemporary, while not shying away from the adventurous and surprising.
