Artistic Director Anton Kuerti present Montreal’s internationally heralded string ensemble in its first Toronto visit in four years. Guest soloist is Canadian pianist Katherine Chi, gold medal winner of the Honens International Competition.
The orchestra demonstrates its celebrated warmth and precision in gorgeous serenades by Elgar and Tchaikovsky. Katherine Chi joins I Musici in the brilliant Rapsodia Sinfonica, Op.66 by Turina, and performs a solo tour-de-force, the Symphonic Metamorphosis on Themes from Johann Strauss’ “Die Fledermaus” by Leopold Godowsky.
