North American Premiere!
Italy's renowned theatre company Kitonb makes its North American premiere in Toronto with the company's most acclaimed work to date, Carillon.
An exposé of the four seasons, Carillon is a dream-like theatrical voyage featuring highly physical dance and acrobatics by a cast of 30, an extraordinary narrative performance, magnificent lighting design, and an original score performed live by popular Italian vocalist Rosie Wiederkehr.
A 360-degree experience, this astounding urban theatre production is performed on multiple stages positioned between the earth and sky including a 7 metre tower, woven with 600 metres of elastic ropes. Carillon culminates in spectacular special effects and a dramatic aerial performance staged 20 metres above the audience, suspended from a hydraulic crane.

The Philosopher Kings
This JUNO and MTV video award-winning band has dominated the radio waves with chart-topping singles and toured the nation to sold out crowds. Their remarkable high energy live performances and incredible musicianship have earned them the moniker of "Canada's Favourite Live Band."

On the Verge
Lucid Dreams
R&B styled drums, funky bass runs, blues/rock inspired guitars, warm acoustic and catchy pop melodies are all part of the Lucid Dreams sound — fun, hip, high-energy and unique.
2 - 3 pm, The Bicycles
While Toronto's bubblegum popsters admittedly borrow from the 60s and 70s, their catchy, crush-worthy songs
deliver a more dynamic sound with intricate arrangements and a variety of instrumentation
3:30 - 4:30 pm, Jon Levine Band
Jon Levine is one of Canada's top musicians. As a Juno Award-winning producer, songwriter and musician, he has helped build the careers of Nelly Furtado, Jacksoul and his other band, the Philosopher Kings.
5 - 6 pm, The Junction
This solid trio of friends deliver an optimistic, feel-good vibe along with groovy indie rock you can sing, clap and dance along to. Their debut EP, "And with this Comes Tomorrow," shines with the earnest sound Canada's best new bands are becoming famous for around the world.
Saturday, January 27, 8 pm
Sloan
East Coast-bred Sloan continues to captivate the masses with their cohesive brand of melodic, hook-laden power pop. With many albums under their belt, including their latest "Never Hear the End of It," the band is as prolific and dynamic as ever.
Sunday, January 28
Alt-Country, Rock & Blues
12:30 - 1:30 pm, NQ Arbuckle
NQ Arbuckle is the "origin" in "original," heeding tradition but remaining true to his story. He's one of the greatest balladeers of our time, backed by some of Canada's finest musicians. Every song NQ writes reincarnates itself in every delivery.
2 - 3 pm, Jill Barber
Drawing on influences from old-time jazz standards, bluegrassy-folk and hook-laden pop, Barber is a songwriter with dead-on phrasing, an impressive range and a knack for squeezing genuine emotion out of a cozy alto purr.
3:30 - 4:30 pm, Jon-Rae and the River
This alt-country, gospel-soul, rock-explosion orchestra delivers a rollicking live act with a soulful collection of songs led by an old fashion singer/songwriter who grew up singing in a church.
5 - 6 pm, Elliott Brood
Elliott Brood plays dark, gritty folk and howling bluegrass music built around vocals and lyrics evoking images of love, loss and murder. In their soul-thumping songs, banjo keeps time to a strange and chunky angular stomp, with Kentucky-hardcore acoustic guitar and sombre, achingly confessional vocal harmonies.
Friday, February 2, 8 pm
Mobile
After a year of dedicated stage storming, Montreal's Mobile has not only won the hearts of their Anglophone peers, but a record contract with Interscope/Universal. Their live show offers a fortified framework supporting catchy songs like "Montreal Calling," "Out of My Head" and "See Right through Me."
Saturday, February 3
Pop Friendly
12:30 - 1:30 pm, Spiral Beach
Their fearless performance style and sophisticated songwriting skills take the theatricality of bands like the B-52s and sets it to shockingly inventive music.
2 - 3 pm, The Suits XL
Quebec City quintet, The Suits XL has impressed many with their literate, intelligent and quirky music filled with insanely hooky riffs and melody lines.
3:30 - 4:30 pm, Brian Byrne
Brian Byrne is recognized as one of this country's finest live performers. Born and raised in Newfoundland, his musical breadth spans his youth spent in a magical place as well as his travels that have taken him far away from it.
5 - 6 pm, Shaye
The collaborative creation of this group of talented Canadian singer/songwriters — Kim Stockwood, Damhnait Doyle and Tara MacLean — is truly greater than the sum of its already impressive parts.
Saturday, February 3, 8 pm
The New Pornographers
This Vancouver-based indie rock collective of ridiculously talented musicians showcase their sound of highly influenced power pop/rock. Their 2000 debut "Mass Romantic" and 2003's "Electric Version" enjoyed wild critical and public acclaim, in addition to their latest effort "Twin Cinema" which was short listed for the Polaris Prize.
Sunday, February 4
Powerhouse Vocalists
12:30 - 1:30 pm, Patrizia
This diva combines powerful four-octave operatic vocals with the stage presence of a true bonafide rock star.
2 - 3 pm, Melissa McClelland
McClelland has risen as the avant-garde mistress of inner pop noire. Sometimes purgatorial, other times ephemeral, she is both poet and pioneer negotiating jazz, country and the blues.
3:30 - 4:30 pm, Lori Nuic
Lori Nuic is a vocal siren ready to take on the world. Impossible to pigeonhole, her impeccable taste and wide range in influences ring throughout her powerful stylings. She reels you in and keeps you listening.

Stark lyrical observations coupled with incredible musicality and a gorgeous voice, this alt-country singer-songwriter cites a wide range of influences as inspirations for her musical career.
