Rod Puppet Workshop for Kids and Parents
Presented by: Not Available
Build a dry MÂCHÉ ROD PUPPET with NAOMI KATES
Here is a way of making a hand and rod puppet of Bunraku fame, with a dry mache method. Naomi will bring a few examples of this type of puppet and parents and children together will sculpt the head out of newspaper and scraps. We use lots of tape so the more hands the better. If you wish bring your own flowing scarf or piece of material to create the body and hand motion effects and of course we get to decorate and dress it afterwards.
Watch your own special character emerge as we make these dramatic puppets out of simple materials and see them come to life!
