The Toronto Theatre Organ Society was organized in the mid-sixties to rescue Shea's Wurlitzer from almost certain extinction when it had to be removed from Maple Leaf Gardens. The Society is a nonprofit all-volunteer organization whose aims are to promote an appreciation of all theatre organs, and to bring together people who share this common interest. By preserving and maintaining Canada's largest Wurlitzer, and by presenting this magnificent part of Toronto's musical heritage in concert throughout the year, the Society seeks to keep traditional memories alive while introducing a new generation to the musical wonders of this amazing instrument. Members regularly give their time to maintain and improve the organ, and to produce and promote the Society's annual concert season, its only outside source of funds. Postal address Phone:
