THE CANADIAN BOOKBINDERS AND BOOK ARTISTS GUILD (CBBAG: - pronounced "cabbage") membership includes bookbinders, calligraphers, paper makers, letterpress printers, paper marblers, and book artists, as well as archivists, conservators, and book collectors and sellers. CBBAG PRESENTS workshops and courses on a wide variety of topics, including bookbinding and the book arts. THE CBBAG Home Study Programme is now available and incorporates the CBBAG basic curriculum. CBBAG organises and circulates exhibitions, including the Art of the Book juried exhibitions of members' work every five years. IN ADDITION, CBBAG maintains a reference library which is available, by appointment, at the bindery. Educational videos are available for loan to CBBAG members for the cost of postage only. CBBAG presents several programme meetings a year. Some of the most interesting of these addresses have been taped and added to the video loan library. CBBAG publishes a popular quarterly newsletter which features book and exhibition reviews, technical articles, historical essays, as well as providing a forum for ongoing debate and discussion. It also publishes a triennial suppliers list, exhibition catalogues, and other publications of interest.
