Presented by: WORKShop Inc.
Exhibition features hand-crafted Suzhou embroidery and contemporary counter-works by invited architects and artists.
STITCHES features 7 pieces of hand-crafted Suzhou embroidery which are dexterously stitched in fine silk threads, and represent an array of subject matter. Believing that this ancient Chinese craft could be the springboard for new experimentation and expressions, we invited a small group of architects, artists and designers to create original works. Their responses employ new technologies, processes, and materials, resulting in objects that range from purely decorative to highly functional.
