Didier CourbotPresented by: Susan Hobbs Gallery Inc.
In his latest solo exhibition, Courbot presents a new body of work that continues several previously explored themes.
Courbot presents a new body of work that continues previously explored themes. Following his 'needs' series, which documented the artist’s actions in and around public spaces, Courbot continues to generate meaning in the everyday. In intimate encounters with found objects. the artist deploys subtle gestures wherein disregarded material is renewed. The lifespans of Courbot’s subjects are extended in his playful treatments, transforming the aleatoric into examples of generosity.
