the sorplusi methodology: a Masterclass with d’bi.young anitafrikaPresented by: Nightwood Theatre
A two-day workshop on the principles of the s.o.r.p.l.u.s.i. method
The s.o.r.p.l.u.s.i principles: self-knowledge, orality, rhythm, political content/context, language, urgency, sacredness, and integrity form a comprehensive system of accountability and responsibility between the artist and the art/stories they choose to create/tell. In this workshop each artist excavates the principles, interpreting the findings from a personal, critical-analytical, self-reflective, oppression-aware point of view and create a piece of art grounded in these principles.
