Alicia Boutlier will be at the RMG to lead a discussion around the social history of being a student of academic painting. Reviewing the various school, both in Canada in Europe, (that Canadian art students attended) she will discuss the various curricula and relate it to Brymner’s personal teaching philosophy, highlighting some of the famous artists he instructed.
