This introduction or refresher in the fundamentals of watercolour painting uses lectures, demonstrations, examples, critiques, and hands-on painting. While painting the Canadian landscape and shorelines, instruction is given in the mixing of colour, techniques of applying paint, composition, and the selection and use of materials.

Marlene Madole is past president of the Canadian Society of Painters in Water Colour, and an award-winning artist and instructor for over 15 years. Marlene’s subjects include heritage architecture, fruit in the orchard, the Canadian landscape, and the figure.
