Ikebana, the Japanese art of flower arranging, evolved many centuries ago from the Buddhist ritual of offering flowers to the spirits of the dead. Using various floral materials, learn the basic rules of arranging and take home a beautiful floral display each week. Please provide a flat bowl, secateurs and needlepoint holder (also called a kenzan, these are available for sale in first class).

Sharon Koor, First Master of the Ohara School of Ikebana, holds the highest teaching degree of the school. She has taught Ikebana for more than 25 years in England, Canada and the United States.
Richard Martel is a Master of the Ohara School and has been teaching ikebana in Toronto for 10 years.
