Join film critic Shlomo Schwartzberg as he examines how Hollywood has portrayed various complex social issues, such as race, religion, war, crime, youth and sexuality.
Join film critic Shlomo Schwartzberg as he examines how Hollywood has portrayed various complex social issues, such as race, religion, war, crime, youth and sexuality. Surprisingly, some of the earliest looks at controversial subjects have been more liberal and provocative than recent films. Movies will include the original Scarface, The Blackboard Jungle, The Ten Commandments, In The Heat of the Night, Bound, and Saving Private Ryan, among many others.
