As Napoleon III said: “Let the people judge”
Some of the most dynamic and expressive artists rejected from the massive Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition at Nathan Phillips Square, have turned their
disappointment to opportunity. Everyone knows that juries are
usually overwrought and let many great artists slip through the cracks. It is then
up to the rejects to take action, band together and host their own show.
The expansive Ossington Avenue gallery, Lennox Contemporary, will host
the event. More than twenty talented artists will be selling work that includes
painting, drawing, printwork, sculpture and glass work. The show is a
must see for anyone out shopping for art over the second July weekend and because of the garbage strike it may end up being all that’s left of the Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition.
