Real to Reel: Facing Breast Cancer -- Living with BRCA1
Presented by: Women's College Hospital Foundation

Unique new event in support of familial breast cancer research at Women’s College Research Institute

Women’s College Hospital Foundation presents Real to Reel: Facing Breast Cancer – Living with BRCA1, focusing on the issues surrounding predictive genetic testing for cancer.

The program begins with a light reception followed by a private screening of the new documentary In The Family which chronicles the personal journey of a young woman who tests positive for BRCA1 – the so-called “breast cancer gene” – and connects with other women trying to navigate the unpredictable world of predictive genetic testing. After the screening, a panel of Women’s College Hospital experts will answer questions from the audience.

Proceeds from the event will support Familial Breast Cancer Research at the Women’s College Research Institute.
