Presented by: Music Toronto Virtuoso Canadian pianist Marc-André Hamelin returns to MTO for his 5th recital on our stage A Montreal native, he lives in Philadelphia. Long admired by pianophiles, Hamelin is now in his is 40's emjoying a stellar international career. His active interest in lesser-known repertoire led to a series of award-winning recordings; he now records exclusively for Hyperion. The New York Times heard "precision, clarity," The Boston Globe found his playing "fleet, lucid"; The Guardian (UK) admired his "sheer dynamic force."
