Jump is the name of the 2009-juried arts competition for East Toronto Youth. The competition is presented annually by the Scarborough Arts Council, and prepares young artists for presenting their work professionally.
Competition Guidelines:
1.Be in Grade 9, 10, 11 or 12
2. Live or attend school in East Toronto
3.Submit complete applications by 5:00 p.m. on Nov.28th 2008.
First Prize: Nikita Marner Award for Youth ($300 cash prize), group exhibition at the Bluffs Gallery & one-year membership to the Scarborough Arts Council.
Second and Third Prize: group exhibition at the Bluffs Gallery & one-year membership to the SAC.
Entries must include
1.Three pieces of work, represented by 3-6 digital or photographic images (please see formatting guidelines for more details)
2.Curriculum Vitae/Art Resume (max. 1 page)
3.Artist Statement (max. 50 words)
4.Application Form
5.Self-addressed, stamped envelope for safe return of your images (please ensure sufficient postage)
