Shod-o: Japanese Calligraphy
Presented by: Royal Ontario Museum

Appreciate the sublime beauty of Japanese calligraphy by creating characters and words using ink, paper and brush.

The unique essence of Japanese calligraphy - the quality of lines and composition of space - will be taught using various styles and materials.


Instructor(s)/Speaker(s):
Noriko Maeda studied calligraphy in Japan and founded a calligraphy school in Tokyo in 1982. She participates in international exhibition projects in collaboration with architects and designers.
