From April to October, thousands of people attend our free neighbourhood walking tours. Covering all areas of the city, Heritage Toronto Walks tell the stories behind the people, landscapes and historic buildings that bring Toronto’s neighbourhoods to life.

This is the 14th year of free neighbourhood walking tours offered by Heritage Toronto.

Have you ever wondered about the story behind that building on the corner, the creek that used to run through that ravine, or your neighbourhood’s most infamous resident?

Heritage Toronto Walks take you to the streets to hear the stories our city can tell. The tours are researched, designed and led by local historians, community groups and professionals, who volunteer their time and energy. Covering all areas of the City, our walk leaders bring Toronto’s past to life.

The Heritage Toronto Walks program runs from late April until early October. We recommend you wear comfortable shoes, bring a water bottle and dress for the weather. Walks are held rain or shine and no reservations are required.
