Performance series every Saturday including; Maltese, Jamaican, Kenyan, Mexican, Peruvian, Spanish, Celtic and North American.
As part of the Junction Forum for Art and Culture's 2008 centennial celebrations, the free performance series will be presented from atop the new "Junction City" train platform and will feature different artists each week who represent the diverse cultures found in the Junction including; Maltese, Jamaican, Kenyan, Mexican, Peruvian, Spanish, Celtic and North American.
The first concert, on June 14, will feature Juno award winning and Urban Music award nominated guitarist Donné Roberts.
Effortlessly combining poly-rhythmic African and European folk and groove and blazing North American funk, rock and blues influences, Roberts and his six-piece band deliver a remarkably diverse, infectiously joyful and utterly unique live music experience (www.donneroberts.com).

Executive Producer Michael Menegon states, "Community involvement and centennial celebrations, such as the walking tours, are the order of the day every Saturday this summer. All the great music and dance we have programmed at the 'Junction City' square will lead us into the big party in September; the Junction Arts Festival."
Every Saturday the "Junction City" square will become a hub of activity also featuring events and activities for the whole family to experience.
There will be an organic farmers market, murmur (an oral history project that records people's personal stories and memories, told about specific geographic locations and neighbourhoods) will be on site collecting Junction stories, the Toronto Aerial Dance Theatre will hold circus workshops, have a photo taken in period costume, the West Toronto Junction Historical Society will hold walking tours (at 1:30 pmand more.
The Summer Concerts in the Junction will be supported by title sponsor the Junction Business Improvement Area.
The Junction Forum for Art and Culture (JFAC) is an arts presenting organization whose main project is the annual Junction Arts Festival. JFAC was incorporated as a non-profit group in February 2004. The people who make up the Board of Directors of the Junction Forum for Art and Culture are dedicated cultural producers, artists, residents, business owners and politicians all of whom are connected in some way to the Junction.
