Presented by: Ecotecture Canada A group exhibition of local artists seizing the environmental rhetoric from science and giving it new context in contemporary installation. In the group exhibition Disintegration Disintegration, ten local artists engage critically with environmental discourses that are normally left to the realms of science, politics, and nostalgia. Disintegration refers not only to environmental degradation, but to the dissolution of boundaries between categories, ideas and objects. Bulging gallery walls, hybrid skeletons, static icebergs, a plastic island, a rotting organic installation, and other works mine the complexity of this present condition.
