Kiss the Moon, Kiss the Sun
Presented by: The Glenvale Players
The Glenvale Players, Canada's Premier Blind Theatre Company, announces their production of Norm Foster's powerful play.
Norm Foster, "Canada's most-produced dramatist," has masterfully created a work that depicts the lived experiences of everyday people. Holly is just such an everyday person, a twenty-something woman on a quest to feel valued and needed. She finds herself pregnant and alone before bonding with Robert, who is 35 with the mental capacity of a 7 year old. We witness how Holly's initial confusion changes to understanding, empathy, and then to a nascent sense of commitment as she explores the possibility of being needed.
We share this snapshot of Holly as she is faced with a decision that could be both life-changing and life-giving. Holly can choose to live, love, and be loved in a way she never has before.
This is a love story. A story of love found, lost, then found again. A story of caring and needing to be cared for. A story of passion evolving into compassion. A story of lives disrupted and then re-assembled in a unique and uplifting way.
This is the power of playwright Norm Foster at his best, skillfully interpreted by The Glenvale Players.
