Tin Pan North - 3 Day Songwriters Fesitval Presented by: Not Available
One of the best kept secrets outside the songwriter community this, the 9th Annual Tin Pan North, Toronto’s largest songwriter’s festival, is a thriving off-shoot of the Nashville, Tennessee initiated organization.
Without a big budget or fanfare, this celebration enjoys full houses of lovers of the song featuring songwriters in all stages of their careers and success. And there are more headline names being added daily, surely making this three days in May a must.
The May 24th Hugh’s Room Gala line up stars some of the very best songwriters – anywhere!
It features previously announced artists, Marc Alan Barnette, Roger Brown, Victoria Banks and Sean Hogan and they will be joined on stage by Eddie Schwartz, Suzie Vinnick, Rachel Proctor and Marc Jordan. Collectively, they have written some of the world’s most successful songs from pop to country. This is a show not to be missed! Eddie Schwartz is perhaps best known for Hit Me With Your Best Shot, immortalized by Pat Benetar and of course Marc Jordan, who first came to attention with his classic ‘70s, Marina del Rey, has since become one of the most sought-after songwriters with artists like Rod Stewart, Bette Midler, Cher and others waiting for the next Jordan gem!
The list of “Headliner” acts is a wonderful one for any songwriter, established, aspiring or otherwise! Headliners are: Ken Whiteley, Greg Wyard, Wendell Ferguson, Marc Alan Barnette, Brian Gladstone, Tia McGraff & Tommy Parham, Victoria Banks, Liam Titcomb, Roger Brown, Sean Hogan, Bill DiLuigi, Patrick Ballantyne.
