Advanced Final Cut Pro
Presented by: Liaison of Independent Filmmakers of Toronto

Explore the full range of possibilities for FCP users!

For those with a basic understanding of Final Cut Pro, this course offers a more in-depth understanding of what is possible with the program. You'll learn how best to organize and log a project, different ways to cut a scene, shortcuts, industry standards like the 2 beep, OMFs, EDLs, and how to online a project. Youll also learn how to deal with issues of NTSC vs PAL, different frame rates, titling, importing and exporting. Well cut an actual scene and study how to create different ideas, effects and moods - all through the same footage.

Workshop participants should have either completed the Intro to Final Cut Pro workshop or equivalent, or have completed at least one creative edit using the Final Cut Pro system.

Instructor:
ANDY BELY will lead this workshop. An editor by trade, he has had over 15 years experience working on films in Canada and abroad. Andy has edited dramatic features, music videos and - most challenging of all for an editor - documentaries. He is fluent in several editing programs, and currently works professionally in documentary post-production.
