Intro to Movie Making
Presented by: Liaison of Independent Filmmakers of Toronto

An overview of the Movie-Making process for Absolute Beginners!

Want to make a movie but dont know where to begin? Relax and let this workshop help you plan and shoot a "doable" short movie. Learn the advantages and disadvantages of film versus video; budgeting basics; working with minimal crews, available and minimal light and found locations. Learn how to create a simple and effective soundtrack, and integrate it into your editing work flow. Finally, discover the full range of options for finishing and exhibiting your film.

Instructor:
RICK PALIDWOR has made over 100 short movies, the majority of which were shot on super 8. Many of Rick's films have aired on CBC, The Comedy network, The Independent Eye, WTN's Shameless Shorts, YLE in Finland, Air Canada flights, PBS in Chicago and The Short List (U.S and Mexico). Most recently he made SLEEP ALWAYS, the first feature shot in super-duper 8 (wide-screen super 8).
