Inspired by her own mother's thirty-year struggle with manic depression, alongside her own battles for a balance of strength and sensual vulnerability, Swallowed Hollow depicts a woman beset by fear and delusion, disillusion and frustration.
'Swallowed Hollow' - Created and performed by acclaimed dancer/choreographer Tanya Crowder, with sound score by Valerie Calam, Swallowed Hollow explores the mind and body under duress.
Impassioned and vulnerable, and utterly human, Crowder's physical explorations play upon a tangled web of perceived persecution and isolation transfixed within the struggle for sanity.
