Petroff Gallery presents an exhibition of bold, textural paintings by Césan d'Ornellas Levine -- whose works have been influenced by abstract artist Wassily Kandinsky's powerful stream of consciousness and pop artist Peter Max's exuberance of colour.

Petroff Gallery presents an exhibition of bold, textural paintings by Césan d'Ornellas Levine. Influenced by abstract artist Wassily Kandinsky's powerful stream of consciousness and pop artist Peter Max's exuberance of colour, Césan creates her works on the floor, sculpting the canvas with layered mediums, gels, pastes, pumices and brilliant heaps of colour, luminescence and iridescence.

Césan's works will also be exhibited at Petroff Gallery's uptown location through June 1st.
