thamovement thamovement is a performance and production company committed to the creation, development and presentation of high quality, innovative dance. Comprised of fresh and talented innovators that inspire positive change and creativity, thamovement is dedicated to integrating audiences, art and culture through dance. Our mission is to make dance accessible and desirable to industry professionals and the general public by presenting exciting, cutting edge shows that embrace a variety of dance styles. Choreographers, dancers and other performance artists are given the opportunity to develop their artistry, form connections, and show off their talents to a receptive audience. Kathryn Miles & Marie-Christine Julien, Choreographers thamovement was founded in 2003, by dancers/choreographers Kathryn Miles B.A. and Marie-Christine Julien B.A, to facilitate their shared artistic visions and career aspirations. Fueled by their desire to dance and have the world dance with them, their passion and commitment to their work is unwavering and distinct. A deep admiration and respect for the art of dance inspired their vision and original style as choreographers, artistic directors and producers. Combined, their extensive dance background and experience in various dance forms gives this young team a unique edge as entrepreneurs in the entertainment industry. Their choreographic and performance history spans formal competitions, in-theatre performance, film and video. Together they have created and performed in works for Fashion Cares, FIDA, Toronto Street Festival and produced an independent video project for thamovement. They travel and perform nationally and internationally and have studied with top performing artists in Los Angeles (Edge Performing Arts) and New York (Alvin Ailey and Broadway dance Center).
