The Voyage Out
Presented by: Talisker Players Chamber Music

Talisker Players explore jouneys of the world and of the soul with guest vocalists Monica Whicher adn Alexander Dobson.

Canada’s pre-eminent vocal chamber ensemble, Talisker Players, and guest vocalists Monica Whicher and Alexander Dobson, present songs about travel, both literal and metaphorical, in a programme featuring The Adnan Songboook, by Gavin Bryars, Songs of Travel, by Ralph Vaughan Williams, and the world premiere of Daybreak and a Candle-end by Derek Holman.

Readings will be taken from the journals and memoirs of great explorers – ancient and modern – about what they sought, and about the meaning of love, home and belonging.
