If you have home movies made by your family or which you’ve collected, we would like to hear from you! Homemade Movies has worked since 1999 to increase awareness of the cultural and historic importance of home movies. These films are finally being recognized as a vivid record of everyday life over the past 80 years. Home movies offer a fascinating window into family life and the endless styles and objects that made up 20th century culture. Homemade Movies presents regular b.y.o.h.m. events (bring-your-own-home-movies) and other screenings celebrating our home movie heritage. We also encourage people to register their home movie collections in our comprehensive database and we work with families, the public and other organizations to preserve and restore these films.
