New Acropolis Cultural Association

New Acropolis Cultural Association promotes humanism and the ideals of Tolerance, Dignity and Respect amongst peoples of varying generations, cultural backgrounds and nations. As a school of philosophy, New Acropolis provides classical philosophical education based on the great teachings of East and West that is completely relevant to modern society and practical life today. By working collectively on cultural and humanitarian projects, we learn about ourselves and others, and better understand how to work together to achieve common goals in a harmonious, fraternal way. New Acropolis continuously offers its foundation course: Philosophy of East and West (12 week course) through out the year. In addition to the ongoing courses, we present lectures on inspiring cultural themes such as “Life and Death of Civilizations”, “Machu Picchu: Sacred City of the Inca”, “Spiritual Islam” and many more. Our activities also include workshops in Chinese calligraphy and swing dancing, as well as professional activities in oral expression, career orientation, and Morphopsychology. We also participate in annual tree planting at Downsview Park and fundraising for International aid through events such as “Dancing Planet”. All of our activities aim to revive the timeless ideals found at the heart of all cultures, so that individuals may renew and cultivate the best in themselves and thereby offer better service in their communities. Internationally, New Acropolis is active in more than 50 countries worldwide, adapting its activities to the needs and sensitivities of local communities. We bring together people who want to build a better more just and more humane world.
