Ikebana, the Japanese art of flower arranging, evolved many centuries ago from the Buddhist ritual of offering flowers to the spirits of the dead.
Using various floral materials, learn the basic rules of arranging and take home a beautiful floral display each week. Please provide a flat bowl, secateurs and needlepoint holder (holders for sale in first class).
Intermediate course suitable for students who have taken at least two sessions of the introductory level.
Instructor/Speaker: Sharon Koor, First Master of the Ohara School of Ikebana, holds the highest teaching degree of the school. She has taught Ikebana for more than 25 years in England, Canada and the United States.
