voxworks explores lesser-known vocal music that is, for whatever reason, neglected and rarely performed, as well as offering an insightful approach to literature firmly established in the canon. The core of our repertoire is secular music from the twentieth century, complemented by works from other style periods. Programmes include choral and solo music, as well as ensemble repertoire wherein the composer stipulates one singer per part. In order to meet the demands of such a broad spectrum of repertoire, the singers must be accomplished solo performers who also have an affinity for and a commitment to ensemble work. voxworks is motivated by a curiosity of the unknown and the desire to delve further into the familiar.
