Formed in 1984, The Toronto Animated Image Society is a not-for-profit, artist-run organization whose mandate is to explore and promote the art of animation. TAIS explores and promotes the art of animation and supports animators as artists. Over the past 20 years, TAIS has encouraged the exchange of information, facilities, ideas and aesthetics within Toronto's animation community through events, screenings, workshops, and art exhibitions. The TAIS membership is made up of independent and professional animators, educators, enthusiasts and artists.
