Arts & Events Programming (U of T Scarborough)

With a mandate to foster artistic and cultural activity, Arts & Events Progrraming serves as your link to the arts at the University of Toronto Scarborough. Striving to create, enhance and deliver exciting artistic initiatives, Arts & Events Programming promotes partnerships among students, faculty and other professionals from the arts community. Diverse offerings include literary events, theatrical productions and music showcases, with opportunities for active student participation and close interaction with world-renowned artists. In partnership with the Doris McCarthy Gallery, the Leigha Lee Browne Theatre, the UTSC Music Ensembles, and various school organizations, offers an array of free and ticketed events each season. Music of all Latitudes (MOAL) At MOAL, audiences can expect to encounter a rich fusion of sounds and rhythms ranging from Jazz to the eclectic language of World Music. Past performers have included Juno award winner Adam Solomon with Afropop group Tikisa, Juno nominee Adonis Puentes, Ballet Creole, the Madawaska String Quartet, and Amanda Martinez. Literary Series Arts & Events Programming invites Canadian and international poets, playwrights and novelists – such as Michael Ondaatje, P.K Page, and Austin Clarke – to speak and to work with our student and community.
