In their Canadian debut, Norwegian vocalists Trio Mediæval will perform the Soundstreams commissioned World Premiere of James Rolfe’s (Canada) Breathe. Joined by the beloved Toronto Consort, Trio Mediæval will perform Rolfe’s modern twist on 12th century music which draws inspiration from Hildegard von Bingen, with text by Canadian playwright Anna Chatterton. The program is enriched by medieval classics, music inspired by Norwegian folk traditions, and recent masterworks.
