Festival of Carols with the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir
Presented by: Toronto Mendelssohn Choir
Celebrate the season with triumphant music for brass and choir.
An annual Christmas tradition, Festival of Carols is a wonderful occasion for families to enjoy a concert of seasonal music. Conducted and narrated by Noel Edison, the TMC will be joined by the Festival Brass and organist Michael Bloss for a feast of triumphant polychoral music for brass and choir, including works by Renaissance composer Giovanni Gabrieli, 17th century German composer Heinrich Schutz and others. At key moments during the concert Edison will also invite the audience to join their voices with Canada’s greatest choir to create a ‘joyful noise’ with some Christmas carol favourites.
