The Diaspora is a subject that resurfaced a few years ago: a word still unknown for many and for others confusing. For us it is the perfect tool that defines who we are: a community that is establishing itself in a country that opened its doors to the world. A community that has many stories to tell and share, that dreams, works and creates as all the others. A community judged by the actions of a few and that wants to show its new colors to show and share the generosity of its people and the cultural richness that we brought with us and have adapted and molded to the environment we now inhabit.
As the first festival, we have programmed local talent with a special guest from Montreal as a way of building and creating spaces that will allow us to grow into an international festival in the summer of 2011.
