Toronto Potters 15th Biennial Juried Exhibition at the Gardiner Museum of Ceramic Art Announced

TORONTO
Toronto Potters’ 15th Biennial Juried Exhibition September 16 - 26, 2010 at the Gardiner Museum will commemorate the 30th Anniversary of the potters’ association. T
The jurors, retired Professors of Ceramics, Ann Roberts (University of Waterloo) and Bruce Cochrane (Sheridan College) selected 41 pieces from a field of 102 works submitted to showcase the finest sculptural and functional ceramics produced by member artists.
Support by the Ontario Arts Council will enable a celebratory feature, the photo- documentation of Toronto Potters’ history accompanied by a retrospective exhibition of works by previous association exhibition award recipients in the museum lobby vitrine to accompany the juried pieces for sale in the Gardiner Museum shop.
Considerable excitement will be generated at the opening 6 - 8pm Thursday, September 16 by the auction of sculptures, a survey of small works by all members reflecting the collective diversity of the group.
