A year after its first event, SPEAKout comes to the ROM with the best poets in the region all competing for $800.
A year after its first event, SPEAKout comes back to Toronto’s Royal Ontario Museum with some of the best poets in the region. Its past winners, along with more talent will all be competing for the $800 top prize, the $400 second place, and the $200 third place prize.
SPEAKout recognizes that spoken word is the new hip-hop. It’s inspiring and moving with both young and old, people loving it. At SPEAKout we want to channel that energy and passion into something that benefits everyone. Our poets flood minds with thoughts of local, national, and international issues; our crowd spreads energy into every inch of the venue. With this level of power and inspiration, one cannot help but SPEAKout!
